Posture is the outward expression of the nervous system.

Clinical Massage Modalities

DEEP TISSUE & BODYWORK/ NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY

reaches both superficial and deep layers of muscle tissue throughout the body. Pressure is gradually applied to access deeper layers and friction is used to loosen muscle attachments and fibers within the muscle belly. This technique improves posture, increases range of motion, helps reduce recovery time from injury and prevent future ones, increases blood supply and nutrients, and reduces muscle soreness.

SWEDISH MASSAGE

incorporates a combination of kneading, rolling, tapping and other movements, all flowing toward the heart, to stimulate circulation and produce a generalized state of relaxation. Swedish massage is beneficial as a stress reducer.

CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

uses gentle touch to assist the movement of fluid within the craniosacral system. It enhances the body’s natural healing processes by releasing restrictions, and has proven effective in treating a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

HEALING TOUCH

is an energy-based therapeutic approach to healing. Healing Touch uses touch to influence the energy system, thus affecting physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health, as well as healing. The goal of Healing Touch is to restore harmony and balance in the energy system to help the person to self heal.

AROMATOUCH TECHNIQUE

employs a clinical approach to the application of essential oils to positively influence common negative factors and help the body return to a state of homeo- stasis. Aromatouch stimulates known body meridian and energy zones while balancing body systems and function.

Only “Certified Therapeutic Essential Oil” from Doterra is used.

THAI/YOGA MASSAGE

is more rigorous and energizing than Western techniques and involves peripheral (external) stimulating to produce specific internal effects. Thai massage is performed on a floor mat with the client clothed. Muscle compressions, joint mobilization and acupressure are achieved through the effective use of the practitioner’s body weight.

Supportive Techniques

TOK SEN

is a Thai therapy using a wooden instrument to tap away the negative energy and ease muscle tension. It uses mechanical and sound vibration, working deeply through the fascia and muscles to clear blocked energy.

HOT STONES

are used to melt away tension, ease muscle stiffness and increase circulation and metabolism.
